Contentment
Tossing and turning my pillow and case.
Searching for coolness against my face.
Sleepless in the hot summer night,
our bedroom lit in soft moonlight.
A gentle breeze finds its way within,
dancing ever so slowly and plays on my skin.
Propped on one elbow, my hand holds my head.
My eyes rest upon you, asleep in our bed.
The moonlight softly lighting your side,
The man I see now asleep can't hide.
Sleeping so peaceful, very content.
My sleeping man so strong, yet innocent.
With feelings of love and of pride,
Now falling asleep with you by my side.
