Morning Tide
Morning Tide
Two souls set sail with the morning tide
their worries and cares all cast aside,
Away they sailed with hardly a word
so the silence around would not be disturbed.
They talked and laughed as the day went by
and marveled at the moon that night in the sky.
For so many years they'd been far away
this time seemed precious with so much to say.
Little did they know as the magic was spun
how their hearts and souls would soon become one,
With each embrace they drew ever near
wishing the world would just disappear,
Time stood still and it felt so right
as they kissed and held each other tight.
Sleep finally claimed them soft and serene
their bodies entwined in a world of dream,
No harm could come in this realm of peace
where the love and laughter would never cease.
As the days went by their bonding grew
At night their loving was strong and true.
But they knew that too soon it all must end
time was the enemy who would not bend,
So they made a promise and took a vow,
for deep inside they knew somehow
the bond they had would not be denied,
Some day they'd sail again with the morning tide.
